Bowling has and will always be a firm family favourite in terms of activities, as it’s something all family members can do, it’s active, it’s fun and it’s fairly cheap! In London, you’re never too far from a bowling alley which is great if you want to take to the lanes with your little ones, but it can also make deciding which one to go to a little difficult.

Therefore we’ve put together a list of 5 of the city’s best family friendly bowling alleys, to hopefully help make your decision a little easier and to show you our favourites.

1. Brooklyn Bowl

This is definitely our favourite on the list, as it’s without a doubt the coolest! Located in the o2 Arena, strike it lucky with the kids on one of the 12 lanes that include table service for the American style cuisine and drinks. Bowl away in the authentic American setting with a background of rock and roll music to add to the fast pace, and you can even catch a gig on certain dates! There are also lots of other great things to do in the o2 Arena, so you could make a full day and night of it if you wanted to. 2. All Star Lanes

This one also has an American theme but takes on more of a diner appeal, with leather booths ad more retro styled pins. The company has lanes in Holborn, Bayswater, Brick Lane and Westfield Stratford, so you can easily find the one that’s best for you to get to. They also do offers of 2 games for £10 on a Monday, too.

3. Queens Ice and Bowl

If your family can’t decide between ice skating and bowling, this one might be quite a good option as there are both options under one roof. It also offers a fairly good deal too, at £7 per game. They also even have a karaoke bar if you fancy singing your heart out after all that excitement. Check out more info about their karaoke bar here.

4. Namco Funscape London

With locations all over England, Namco Funscape has built itself a reputation for bringing you the best in family fun. You can play a game of bowling from just £2.50 per person, as well as having a go on the arcades, playing a game of pool having a go on the bumper cars, and little ones can even have a play in the soft play area. Check the websites for info on what’s available at each of the different locations to avoid disappointment.

5. Tenpin Acton

Located in the Royale Leisure Park a few minutes walk from Park Royal Tube on the Piccadilly line, this is definitely a very central bowling alley that mixes traditional bowling with a more modern setting and atmosphere. They have 28 modern fully computerised lanes, American Pool tables, Amusement Arcades all catered towards families and kids.
