So today you are 4 years old – how has that happened so quickly? I cannot believe that you have now reached school age and come September, you will be joining Burton, and I will be home alone. It really does not seem 4 years ago that you came into our lives at 9.19pm (luckily Daddy remembers the exact time as I always think it was 9.15pm, or thereabouts!)
You are such a funny boy, you can still be a grumpy monkey and have a bit of a temper but on the whole you make us laugh a lot. You can pull such silly faces, make up jokes and act the fool and it is a delight to see and very entertaining.
You have really flourished this last year. You are now in stage 1 of swimming, and you can write and spell your name and your drawings are really good too. You are very confident and chatty and have great social skills, and love role playing, things which are all echoed by your pre school teacher. You ride your bike so well too now considering you had it last year for your 3rd birthday, and you were a little shaky to begin with. You still moan about having to walk places but the buggy is no more now, afterall you are a big boy now and will be at school in 6 months.
You still love monkey and the poor thing has to have a few repairs now where little holes have appeared on his nose where you rub it so much. I do wonder if monkey will be accompanying you to school, because he still goes pretty much everywhere with you still. You also love your Sweep (and Burton’s Sweep) and it is funny how you put on their ‘sweep’ noises just like the puppet does on the Sooty and Sweep Show.
You also love Burton and miss him while he is at school. You copy him a lot by what he says and does , some of it good and amusing and some of it I am not pleased about! You both bicker and argue a lot, but you are as thick as thieves and I would not have it any other way.
Here is a look back at the last 12 months of your life my darling, from your 3rd birthday until now.
Happy birthday my sweetheart, I hope you have a wonderful day, and I look forward to seeing what being 4 brings you over the next 12 months.
Love you lots and for always

I just cant believe he’s 4, that’s the age that Leo and Burton are in my head, and Jenson is the baby, don’t even get me started on Loukas age! It makes me realise that I’ve been reading your blogger longer than I spent in most of my jobs!
Hope he had a fantastic birthday xxx
