A Flashback To 5 Years Ago (Sept, 2009)

Almost 5 years ago to the day, my new little family and I went to my Step Sister’s wedding in South Devon. Burton was only about 8-9 weeks old and I was a little nervous about taking him because I had no idea if he would settle or if I would be able to relax and have a nice time!

I recall that the dress I had bought for the wedding a few months earlier, a size 14 which was my pre pregnant size, I could not squeeze my new sized milk filled boobs inside which was, at the time, a little disappointing! I guess I assumed that 2 months after giving birth I would be able to slip back into my old dress size!! Not for me – despite seeing so many other new mums able to do just that, or else get back into their old jeans, I was still a little way off!!

Anyway, luckily for me my Mum had a dress that no longer fitted her (to this day, I have no idea what she was doing with a size 16 dress as I dont recall her ever being that size!), but she did and it fitted , just about although despite being hot later that day, I did not want to remove my jacket for fear of boobage overspill, and the fact that I could not do the zip up right to the top!

I bought Burton a little outfit from Next especially for the wedding – it was such a cute little outfit , complete with matching socks.  He looks like he has no hair in these photos – he did it was just so fair that in a certain light you could not see it!

After the ceromony we headed to the country park hotel where we were staying and where the reception was held, and before our meal was served we went to our room so I could feed Burton in private. He was at that age where he was able to smile at the silly faces we made – he would giggle and make such funny faces himself! Cutie pie!

Still makes me smile now, the little monkey!

  1. Haha, how optimistc we were, I also thought I’d be back in pre-pregnancy stuff quicker than I was, more than 5 years later and I’m still not (different shape I think more than a weight issue!)

Love Burton’s little face, so cute x
