The danger of plants is something that I have never feared or worried about in the same way I have about snakes and spiders (yikes!). Thankfully, here in the UK , poisonous shrubs do not cause a problem, like they do in other parts of the world. Obviously as a parent, I need to warn my boys not to eat the berries from trees because they can be poisonous, and beware of stinging nettles and thorny stalks because they hurt! But I do not have to worry about any plants trying to eat them, as they are not insects, or cause them skin irritations from sharp thorns, or ,worse still, nasty deaths from deadly milk sap!!
However, what about the rest of the world? Here are the most poisonous plants that live on our planet. It makes for a very interesting read, and makes me grateful that I do not have to warn the boys of the dangers of playing near such plants!!!
