Top Tips For A Glamorous Epic Big Night Out

Next month sees the 86th Academy Awards, and as much as I enjoy finding out who has won what, what I actually enjoy the most are the photographs of the glamorous actresses and well turned out handsome actors because lets face it, the Oscars are always the event that brings out the best and indeed worst dressed A Listers! There are some celebs who just ooze effortless glamour and always look stunning no matter whatkatew

but equally there are some who despite being beautiful and having figures to die for make some epically bad choices in the wardrobe department and end up making waves for what they are wearing but not in a good way!oscrasworstIt must take the stars of the screen such a long time to get ready for such a big night out – it takes me long enough just to decide what to wear, let alone think about jewellery, shoes, make up, hair how to ensure my best side is photographed!

I asked some fellow bloggers for their top tips on how to look hot to trot and ooze sexiness and glamour for a special occasion night out.

“Vaseline on your front teeth to stop your lipstick getting onto your teeth”  Sarah from www.boorooandtiggertoo.com

“You cannot go wrong with a pair of nicely weighted black high heels. Go for glam eyes or a bold lip colour, but not both. And a little bit of back combing and hairspray can

make the finest, flattest hair look big and bouncy!”
Steph from http://imcountingufoz.com

“Sort your feet out – there’s nothing worse for ruining a glam outfit than hard skin on your heels and chipped toenails. Also, moisturise everywhere, you don’t want to look flaky!”

Jayne from http://mumstheword.me

“Pose for pics with your feet in a T shape – not so you look demented obvs but with back one sideways ish and front one forward – takes half a stone off.”

Anya from  http://www.oldersinglemum.com/

“Cleavage OR legs on show – never both!”
Liz from http://missielizzie-meandmyshadow.blogspot.com

“Smoky eyes and a big blow dry”
Sarah from http://grenglish.co.uk/

“Invisible tape to stick your boobs up!”

Joy from http://pinkoddy.co.uk/blog/

“Spanx! And above all is wearing a warm smile, everyone will forgive you for any minor faux pas if you have an inviting smile”  Marianne from http://marisworld.co.uk

“My tip for using hair extensions is to back comb the roots of your hair slightly using hairspray too so that the clips don’t slide out… for everything else, dark eyes, big eyelashes are always my fave.

Ohh and I pose for pictures with my chin slightly raised and my body slightly turned to one side, no double chin nightmares and I always look thinner from the side. Oh and… if in doubt… pout!

Alice from www.mylifemysonmyway.blogspot.com

Thanks ladies – some truely epic suggestions here and I will be adopting some of these on my next BIG night out (next month as it happens). It is funny that Alice mentioned hair extensions, I have never worn any myself and I have to be honest they often conjure up images of dodgy OTT hair styles fashioned by Jordan or girls seen on that Snog Marry or TV show, which would put me off wanting to wear them! However, having seen the new style hair extensions from TOWIE’s Frankie Essex and seeing how to wear them correctly I would definately consider adding them if I needed long hair for a special occasion like a wedding or a ball. More information about these and other ranges of hair extensions brands can be found online at Pauls Hair World
