Keeping Warm With TJ Hughes

It is a standing joke in my house about how many clothes I wear to bed. My OH often jokes that I look like I am off for an expedition to the Antartic, as he sees me in my pajamas, socks and jumper. It is even worse when he is not around as at least when he is he acts like a hot water bottle, because as he is often in bed before me the bed is indeed warmed up for me when I get in! I cannot help it I just feel the cold more than he does. There is me all dressed up like I am off outside and he just wears his undies!

I remember when I was a student living in a shared house how cold it was during the winter months. Of course being students we had to save as much money as we could and having a landlord who was not very generous about our central heating rights, meant me wearing a lot of layers. In fact I do recall going to bed in a hat and scarf too because I was soooooo cold! It was not until I left university and moved into my first flat share that I was given an electric blanket as a Christmas present. Oh I was so pleased because living in that flat was just as cold as it had been living as a student, as I was not better off financially and the electric meter ate up enough money just from cooking and heating the hot water!  And as we all know electric blankets are ideal for cold winter nights, and it was lovely to feel all cosy and warm when I got into bed. I never left it on all night just before I went to bed to heat it up for me.

Another device I bought or adopted from some kind family member to help keep me warm over the years was a portable heater. I have had some many different types over the years, from gas to electric, radiator style ones and slimline ones. There are so many differnt styles of heating solutions ot choose from nowadays and they start from just £7.99 which seems a lot cheaper than when I was younger and freezing in my many rented abodes!  TJ Hughes have a great range of fan heaters to choose from and there is a budget and style to suit every home I would think.

Or you can just follow my example and dress in so many layers that you look like you off for some adventure in the great outdoors instead of heading for the land of nod!
