These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago while Daddy was trying to get both boys to pose for him together and look at the camera together. Also to stand still, together and try to smile for him, together. It always makes me laugh how long it takes to get a photo of them both standing still, both smiling and both looking in the same direction long enough for it to be captured by the camera.
Of course monkey had to be included aswell – he is like my third child afterall!
Looking back at these photos now I cannot believe how Jenson is catching Burton up in height! I appreciate that Burton is stooping slightly as he embraces his brother, but even so it looks like there is only a head’s difference in their size now. The last couple of weeks have seen both boys with a huge appetite (for a change), which must signal another growth spurt being imminent because they never normally eat so well!
I love how Burton’s arm is around his brother – almost protective looking and how Jenson is happily snuggled into the nook of Burton’s shoulder. If only they were so serene and calm with each other all the time!! They look so grown up here too – scary how much and how fast they are growing up. I mean it is February half term already – where has this year gone, let alone their lives?

Oh my goodness Jenny, these photos are beautiful. It’s so odd how I feel like I know them so well. It’s lovely watching them grow up, alongside my two with them all being similar ages.

They’re so sweet! And I totally get the “monkey is my third child” reference…we have a very similar situation here. I’d still be lucky to get a good picture of my two together though.

Aww they are gorgeous. I do love the second shot as you can see monkey better. I noticed the opposite today that my older of the 2 boys has shot up and looks like a giant compared to his little brother. Thank you for sharing these special moments of your boys, I do love seeing them 🙂
