As the boys get older they are starting to play more in their bedroom. There are not actually that many toys in the room as the majority of them are downstairs in their playroom, which one day will be made back into a dining room. It has been so nice having the room at our new house to have a room that can be soley devoted to them and all their toys and books – even if some of their things to start to over spill into the hallway! It is so nice being able to close the door on all the mess they have created so it does not have to be looked at by anyone passing down the hall. Although it is a complete nightmare when I attempt to tidy it up every few weeks – takes me sooooo long!
Anyway, as I was saying Burton and Jenson are beginning to play upstairs more now and I know it will not be long until we will have to make their bedroom into their playroom space too, and this will mean having to think up ingenious ways of storing all of their toys, books and clothes while still allowing floor space to actually play on. Their room is quite a good size really, although quite a bit of it is taken up by a built in wardrobe which is big as it has storage space aswell as hanging space.
One way to free up the room is of course to replace their beds for mid sleeper beds that take up less floor space each and buy them bed which are off the ground, and what child can refuse a cabin style bed with its own ladder? It also provides them with an option of built in features beneath their beds, maybe a wardrobe, some drawers or maybe even a desk for when they are older and will want to do homework in their bedroom. Maybe even get them a cabin style bed which has a sofa bed underneath for when they are older and want friends to sleep over. I wish I could have had one like that when I was younger!
Or of course to save even more floor space, we could get them bunk bed style kids high sleep beds which is what my brother and I had when we used to share a room. Although I was always a little out out that as the odlest I ahd to sleep on the bottom bunk, while my brother got to have the top one! Not that I have let that bother me after all these years of course!

Those beds look ace, we often wonder what the heck we’ll do when z is older and he has so much more stuff to put away. Like you guys its always threatening to overspill into the hallway!
