Sunday – a beautiful day. We took the boys to Whistlelandpound this morning for a bike ride and run about in the woodland. It was great fun and worked up an appetite for a slow cooked sausage casserole which we enjoyed when we got home. This afternoon the boys and I made some Christmas puddings.

Monday – after playgroup Jenson and I went to the park for a walk about as it was so sunny and quite warm. He enjoyed running through the piles of dry, crispy leaves and then wanted to go to the playground!

Tuesday – another trip to the park but this time with the balance bike. Jenson is so confident on this now and whizzes on ahead and down the slopes before I have a chance to catch up with him.

Wednesday – I took Jenson to the soft play this morning to meet some friends and then this afternoon we popped to the pet centre to look at the rabbits, gerbils and guinea pigs – yes I know but its free and passes time on the way to collect Burton!

Thursday – so today I ended up tackling the playroom! You know when you start something and then half way into it you wish you hadn’t because of the sheer volume of stuff that needs sorting and putting away? Yep, this was me today! Needless to say that by the time I had to go and collect Burton from school, the playroom was still not finished! After school I took the boys to the park though – anything to avoid the playroom lol.

Friday – Jenson and I finished tidying the playroom and now it is done I am glad I did it, and it does look so much better and tidier – no that it will stay that way for long of course! We wrapped up and went to the local garden centre tonight to await the arrival of Father Christmas. We waited an hour (the boys had a go on the merry go round while we waited) and then FC was late and then he turned up pulled by horses and it was all really fast and he didn’t take the time to go around and wave and say hello to the majorty of the children, which my two were a little vexed about! Still, as I explained it was just a flying visit to check everyone was being good, and he will be back in a couple of weeks for the boys to visit and tell him what they want for Christmas!

Saturday – swimming this morning and then we came home and I did some housework. Afterwards we went to see Granma and Grampy and all the cousins were there which the boys were pleased about. They all played outside as it was such a lovely day. Tonight we called back into the garden centre to collect some balloons which we meant to do last night, and the boys were allowed to sit on this motorbike, which they thought was good fun.

  1. That first picture is soo cute. They really do look like the best of friends. That looks like a brilliant pet centre. My girls love guinea pigs and rabbits so would love it there. I tried to tackle our playroom/dinning room this week with not much luck x

  2. We had a whole week like your playroom tidying day! Still not done as we’ve rearranged the whole apartment, but the boys are now in one bedroom – eek!

Love the photo of Jenson on the swing, he looks deep in thought

  3. I often used to take mine to the pet shop, they would spend ages looking at the rabbits & fish – best free entertainment ever!

  4. I so know what you mean about starting something and wishing you never had!! I so wish people in this house would eat chrimbo cake! I love it but never bother as it tends to only go to waste as its too much for just me x

  5. Wonderful outdoor fun as always. I feel the same about our linen store for the business this week as you do with the playroom. Not exciting but satisfying when done!

  6. Loving the first picture!
Lol i do the pet shop too..we have a fish one which has some gorgeous displays of fish…the girls love to pop in there.

  7. I definitely think he would like a pet judging by that photo!! Gorgeous photos again and again, some nice outdoors ones. I like the merry go round one, a great action shot.
