Sunday – I took the boys to my Mum’s for a yummy roast chicken dinner cooked by my Step Dad. My Nannny is staying so it was lovely to see her too. After lunch we took Shadow for a walk and with wellies on both boys could not resist a paddle in the stream and Burton also found a very big stick !! However, the funniest part of the entire day – nay the whole week was when my Step Dad slipped in the muddy field chasing after Burton – it was sooo funny I could not move or even speak to ask if he was ok!!! The thought of it is making me laugh now!!!

Monday – back to school for Burton and he was happy to return. After dropping him off Jenson and i parked at the park and walked to playgroup which meant some wall walking too! Tonight after tea I took the boys to a little firework do organised by the playgroup which was fun but Jenson did not like the noise – infact the loud bangs made him jump and cover his ears!

Tuesday – after school I made a little party tea as I told Buton that I would buy some sparklers as there had not been many at last nights firework party, and he had been a bit disappointed. Once we had eaten our tea we went out into the dark and the boys held lots of sparklers which was a lot fo fun and a lot less noisy for Jenson.

Wednesday – I took Jenson to the soft play this morning. This afternoon we popped to the park quickly while there was some sunshine. He loves riding on this roundabout – he really really giggles while he is on it. After school we attended Burton’s first parents evening, and it was lovely to hear about how well he is doing and how much he has settled in.

Thursday – Jenson and I went to Tesco this morning. The rest of the morning was spent playing at home. This afternoon Daddy and I took Jenson out on his bike which was almost a disaster as I forgot his helmet and then we discovered that the bike had a flat tyre! Still, nothing that a car journey home did not sort out and then with a pumped up wheel and a helmet he was able to practise his balancing.

Friday – Jenson and I just had a day of cleaning, playing and baking today. After school the boys helped daddy wash his old car as it has been sold now and is being collected in the morning. They really enjoyed helping him do this!

Saturday – swimming this morning. I took Burton to a birthday party at the tennis centre for a boy from his class at school, which was different but actually lots of fun and a very active party for sure. Tonight we went to Appledore in the pouring rain (like really pouring!) with the cousins, aunt and uncles and granma and grampy to see the fireworks on the beach. It amazed me how many other people attended despite the awful weather, as it was packed! Its not a great photo due to it being dark but here are Jenson and Daddy watching the fireworks.

  1. Mine were waving giant sticks around streams yesterday, I was convinced one was going to fall in.
That sparkler photo is amazing……how did you do it?
Can I bring my car over – it needs a wash, do they do inside too?

  2. sometimes we just have to laugh even if it is at inappropriate times, poor step dad. Love the car washing, I just drive mine through. love the laughing on the roundabout picture.
My son never liked fireworks, I use to take the girls along and him and I would go into the scout hall until it was finished

  3. Great sparkler photos and I’m not sure who it enjoying the fireworks more; Jon or Jenson! Burton looks great with the branch in the stream, but my favourite is Jenson on the roundabout; look at his scrunched up shoulders and nose.

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.

  4. Your boys are just adorable!

I should get my girls onto washing my car!! Am sure they would love it.

    Love the firework pic!

  5. Such gorgeous photos again this week. I always look at your photos and feel guilty that most of mine are taken indoors. Great sparkler photo, you are brave as I don’t trust any of mine with them.
