it’s beginning to look a bit like Christmaaaaaas
everywhere I go
This song has been playing in my head a lot at the moment because every shop I am walking into at the moment from the supermarket to the high street stores, from the corner shop to the local garden centre, they are all full of festive paraphernalia. Not to mention the adverts on the television! As soon as back to school has happened, Christmas hits the retail shelves and there is no escape until the big day itself in December.
Now don’t get me wrong I LOVE Christmas and I am like a big kid myself when it comes to getting excited at the thought of everything associated with celebrating it. But every year at the start of September when Christmas cards, chocolates and gifts begin to appear on the shelves I do sigh to myself and think it’s a bit too soon to be thinking about it. Mind you, maybe I should embrace it earlier because more often than not I am too laid back when it comes to buying, writing and sending my Christmas cards as I often miss the deadline for the final post! I am always thinking that there is plenty of time and then suddenly it is a couple of weeks into December and then it is a mad dash to get everything done.
I am even conptemplating buying myself a festive jumper this year, as I remember seeing how popular they were last year but I left it too late to take the plunge and purchase myself one. However, since the onset of all the festive items on sale since last month, I have seen several novelty jumpers that I have to admit do make me smile and feel all Christmassy. I just do not know if I can bring myself to actually buy one. I mean they do look fun, warm and cosy and they are very fashionable (do they ever go out of fashion? ). However, I also know that having taken the mickey out of my Mum when I was a teen when she insisted on wearing a Rudolph style festive jumper year after year, that if I go for it I face a couple of dilemas
- Mum will remind me of this fact and I will feel a bit of a hypercrite
- I am turning into my Mum!!!
What’s a girl grown woman to do?
Do you own / thinking of buying a festive novelty jumper?

No, not that I have the option but I think Aaron may just divorce me if I did! 🙂
Seems strange to think that Christmas is on the way as there is hardly a hint of it here, only a couple of restaurants with tiny adverts in the local magazine announcing their Christmas day packages.

We have a photo shoot and I have started to think about what to wear and am really unsure about festive jumpers – they are noisy aren’t they. I’m pretty boring when it comes to clothes so not sure it’s me.

Do it do it do it!
I have one from last year, although I put on a ton of weight at Christmas last year which is still hanging around so I doubt I’ll fit in it anymore!
