I was racking my brains as to what I could use for a flashback this week. This is partly owing to my memory because all week I have been a day behind, and it was not until Eastenders started that I realised it was in fact Thursday and not Wednesday, thus making it Flasback Friday eve. Eeeeeeeek!
Having browsed through my facebook photos for some inspiration I came across some photos of myself with my two best friends from school – Kimberly and Beth.
Back in September 2002 we all went on a weeks holiday to Tennerife to help cheer Kimberly up who was going through a very painful divorce at the time. We had such an amazing holiday and it was just fun.
We laughed, we talked, we relaxed, we drank cocktails, we ate yummy food and really enjoyed ourselves.
It was a case of dressing down in the day to our swim suits to sit around the pool and read and chat, then dressing up in the evenings to eat out and enjoy some drinks.
One night towards the end of our holiday after a few cocktails, we headed into a shopping mall and there was a street artist offering to do cartoon style portraits of people. Having never has this done before, the three of us took it in turns to sit and pose for him. It was quite good fun really and I think his characatures of each of us is actually very good – what do you think? Here is what we looked like that night while we sat for him.
Ohhhhhhhhh to be that young again!!! *sighs*
This post was brought to you as part of Flashback Friday
Remember – a flashback can be from any time whether it be yesterday, last week, last month, last year or yesteryear! It can be a flashback of your own, your children, your partner or your friends.

Looks like a fantastic holiday. The artist did a really good job on the pictures didn’t he. Oh you are still young – and just as gorgeous.
Thank you for hosting.

I had some big clumpy wedges just like that! I loved them…in fact I still have them *shhhhh*
Looks like a great holiday – I love a girls holiday – I would’ve been heavily pregnant/with a newborn in Sept 2002 with another 7 years to go before my next girls holiday!

This sounds like such a fun, girly holiday. Lying by the pool all day then getting dressed up for the night. Perfect! x

Ah bet you had a fab time, I’d love to do that again. Hoping that a few of my girls will come out the year we all turn 40, we’re even talking about renting a villa for a long weekend so I get to escape my kids too 😉
