They arrived in a lovely presentation box featuring a dinosaur which got the boys excited before they even saw the contents inside! However, I cannot hazzard a guess at how fast they got those shoes out of their box! Burton had his on his feet – without his socks as putting his new Dinosoles on was imperative! – incredibly fast. If only putting his shoes on was always so quick and fuss and messing around free!
Now the brilliant thing about Dinosoles, is that each shoe has half a dinosaur incorporated into its design AND – and this is the really cool part – the eye of the dinosaur contains a LED light which flashes as the shoe ‘walks’ . Plus – yes there is more – each shoe also contains an enlarged dinosaur eye which also lights up as your child walks in its Dinosoles.
Also – yep one more great feature – the soles are dinosaur foot prints!! Pretty amazing shoes I have to say!
To be honest the boys Daddy had a bit of Dinosoles envy I can tell you, as he watched them stomp around the lounge, shoes all flashing and their dinosaurs on show!!
To give these shoes a road test, we visited the park and I let the boys give them a good trial in their favourite playground stomping ground!
I am pleased to say that the Dinosoles survived and did not become extinct after our trip to the park! They were ideal for climbing, swinging, sliding, running, splashing and jumping! They are good quality shoes, robust and sturdy and fun! We have had shoes from Clarkes which featured a dinosaur design, but nothing on this scale or as reasonably priced. Retailing at £24.99 these 3D T-Rex Dinosoles are about £10 cheaper than the well know high street store and I have to say are much more suited to toddlers in term of creativity in their design and those extra features which make them so amazing.
One point to note, is that when I initially received the shoes there was a fault with one of the shoes, and I have to say that having contacted the company, I was sent a replacement pair immediately and without any quibbling. I was very impressed by their customer care, and I am genuinely enamoured with these fantastic shoes. The boys love them and for the money, quality, comfort and quirkiness I will be buying from them in the future.
