To celebrate her virtual Gallery having it’s 100th week, this weeks theme set by Tara is Picture Postcard and one lucky Gallery entrant will get the chance to have their photograph entry made into a greetings card!
I am submitting this photo. It was taken the day before I started going into labour with Burton: the last place I visited before I became a Mummy!
I was at Lynton and Lynmouth here in North Devon. The photo was taken while I was riding on the cliff railway which is a unique Victorian water powered lift which operates between the two villages.

Wish you were here?
Happy Centenary!

Very picturesque! Love the colours.
I love that photo – the colours make it look quite 50s!
ahhhh, lovely, yes would love to be there 😉
It’s such a great place. I’ve stood on that same spot, but no photo to show for it!
Gorgeous picture, looks like a lovely place to visit. Think I’d probably be a bit nervous though. I don’t like heights when I’m on something moving. Such a wuss!
It almost  looks like Lake Garda x Beautiful Colous
What a gorgeous photograph. Beautiful colours and scenery. And I love that there is a little story behind it, as it was taken just before your life completely changed and you became a mummy. X
Oh Jenny, I’m so thrilled you used a North Devon photo! Gorgeous photo…Wish I was there! xxx
Aww what a gorgeous picture. x
Look at the colour of that sea, Â I’ve never been to Devon – it looks lovely. Â Great photo and would make a lovely postcard.
I like to think had you gone into labour on the lift you would have got free trips for life?!
Wow that is absolutely gorgeous! Really clever too with the colours and the angle! Yes I do wish I was there.
Brave to be doing that the day before having your first baby! But worth the view I’d say 🙂
That’s a beautiful shot and what a gorgeous view too xxx
Great photo! Before I clicked on the link, I thought it was Switzerland or a similar location just looking at the thumbnail. Beautiful!
Thats a lovely view…at first glance I thought it was San Francisco!
Stunning view and what blue water!Â
Really like how you’ve framed this with the lines running into the view. Â
Oh this is really clever…drawing you eye, to a glimpse of sea and sand…love it!
Lynton & Lynmouth – favourite places of my childhood holidays (we used to stay at Putsborough Sands) and that picture takes me straight back. Lovely
Yes I do wish I was there! Lovely!
Wow that is gorgeous, I do wish I was there! 🙂
Amazing, great photo x
Oh I’ve heard of this, I think we might have gone there when I was a child. Water-powered? That’s very funky.
Bought back lots of memories – we used to live down that way before moving to France 7 years ago – thanks for the trip!
OMG I have done this and loved it, and I had the most magnificent Ploughmans at a pub at the beginning of the town area. You just took me back a few years didn’t manage it last visit but on the list for the next 🙂
