We bought Burton a balance bike for his second birthday last July but he was a bit too small for it back then.
However, since the end of last year Daddy has been taking him out on it fairly often as he has become really confident on it and has achieved good balance whilst sitting on it.
He is a bit of a daredevil on it though, as he insists on riding down steep slopes at the park – its probably aswell that Mummy is not there when he is doing this as she may not like what she sees!!
However, as with everything in life that you learn how to do, there are moments when it all goes wrong and falling off his bike does occur quite often. Daddy has put together a little compilation of some recent ‘you’ve been framed moments’ – aww bless him, but it is funny. Look out for the one near the end – its a
classic!!

Hahahahahaha! That end one is brilliant! Oh this has cheered up my 4am feed no end, thanks Jenny!
Burton is really good on his bike too! Thomas is nowhere near that fast but he hates wearing the helmet so we don’t go out so often… Makes me want to take him more (not so he can fall down so much though! Ha ha ha).

Well done Burton! I think a bike will be top of the list for Leo’s birthday in May he’s never even been on one, poor deprived child lol

Haha, this is soooo soooo cute, especially the bit where he falls into the bushes. You should send it to “You’ve been framed” lol x
Lauren
27 seconds in his my favourite! As he falls onto the pavement his hands stay on an invisible handlebar!
Charles thinks this is him. And is obsessed with watching it now.
I told him that Burton is “like him” and he said he’s very clever xx
would like to be ayummy mummy
Aaaaahhh very cute. Balance bikes are great and even when he falls off he still smiles xx
Actually Mummy
Hah! love the ‘drunk in a gutter one!’ Why do we all buy bikes for our children far too young? GG had hers for 2 years before she finally took to it – you should link this one up for #SunFun – it’s perfect 🙂

Aww! Love it! My son must be the same age, he was 2 in July. We also got him a balance bike for his 2nd birthday, but he’s only started riding it properly recently as well..he was too short before!! We have all the same falling off the bike moments! Lovely video.

OMG!!!! This post is my favourite of all times! Ever! I love the video, I love his last successful ride, I love his grin when he falls and when he doesn’t fall…tell your husband that this is the most amazing video ever! I want to do one just the same when Miss G gets her first bike, but, like you, I’d rather not be there snapping the falls…
Mammasaurus
We were all huddled round the laptop watching that! Loved it! Papasaurus is very impressed by Burtons bike skillz (Queen Scamps not doing too well on her balance bike!)
And that bit at the end where he veers off in classic You’ve Been Framed material – send it in !

How fabulous – my little one wouldn’t manage the last one and he is four! Well done him for getting up and starting all over again with a smile on his face, and bringing a smile to ours too 🙂

Its so funny becase of his face! I love him trying to get up that little hill but at at the end..Oh I was laughing and so happy for him. Little Miss just said ‘He’s done it, he’s done it!’ Lol x
jessies_online
that is so funny! Burton is so brave…he’ll be riding a proper bike by the time he’s 3 I’m sure…he really is a little daredevil! x

I didn’t realise that I had this in my favourites until I was looking for a tweet from someone else then for Lauren. This is hysterical! The first one made me worry he was going to break his leg, and then when he went down the ditch! Hysterical!

I do love that ‘you’ve been framed’ moment. Hahaha. He’s brilliant to keep at it, well done to him for being so competent by the end!
