For this weeks The Gallery, Tara has asked us to share photos that we take on our mobile phones.
I have to admit that almost all of the photos I use for The Gallery and my blog have been taken on my mobile. As a matter of fact I expect 95% of the photographs I have of my boys are mobile phone photos! I do own a camera and I enjoy taking photographs with it, but I don’t have it to hand as easily as my mobile and nowadays the quality of images captured on a mobile is much better than it used to be.
I think mobile phones allow us to capture our daily lives – whatever we are doing we can photograph it. I am always snapping Burton and Jenson playing, eating, bathing, out and about etc…and as a result I have a brilliant record of their lives. The quality of each photo may not be as good as with a proper camera but I wouldn’t have my proper camera with me at the supermarket, at the hairdressers, on the bus, or at the park for example. Plus the photos can be uploaded so easily! In a instant you have an image to share with your family and the world – for example, as soon as you give birth you can be sharing a photo of your new baby with people within minutes of it being born!

A mobile phone is ideal for taking photos when you are on the go and leading a busy mummy life. To me its not about the quality of the photo, but the quantity of memories I capture everytime I use my mobile camera 🙂
Here are just a few snapshots taken on my mobile – I have thousands infact!

Aww wow! I was out of It when z was born so we didn’t take any till he was about 2 hours old. Love the collage too.
I love you collage. That’s a great way of showing lots of photos. I may have to do something similar!
Me too! Even tho we have a very expensive camera, the iphone apps are so good now and so convenient, it’s silly not to use them. So great to have a picture of the tiny squidgeling so soon after birth. Yum. You’ve made a middle-aged woman very broody again….
