Except I do have lots of things to do AND I am finding it harder this month to think of post ideas! Whoopsie!
On the night of the end of NaBloPoMoUK I had twitchy fingers and felt at a loss not having to write a post for the next day and actually ended up penning my (late) Gallery post because I missed not spending my evenings writing! So I thought I would commit myself and my blog again because I really enjoyed my November NaBloPoMo.
However, five days in and I am really finding it difficult to write ……write anything actually. I am not going to be as precious about the blogging every day this month and if all I end up posting is a recipe or linky then so be it. Afterall, Christmas is fast approaching and I haven’t even got any cards bought or all my presents sorted yet! Yikes did I just confess that out loud for everyone in cyber space to read?
It hasn’t helped either that since a weak last Friday, Burton, Jenson and I haven’t been home due to our heating and hot water system (yes a boiler is what I really mean!), breaking down and us having to wait for part after part to be ordered and be attached to said boiler by an elusive and busy plumber! Rather than live in our cold house and not have any hot water we stayed with my Mum last weekend and when we returned home last Monday, within an hour we went to Jon’s parents and have been here ever since! Don’t get me wrong, it’s been lovely and I have enjoyed staying somewhere else for a change, it’s almost been like a little holiday. And his parents are lovely and have made us very welcome. However, both Jon and I feel now that we have probably stayed a little too long now and we should let his parents have their house back to themselves.
Plus with Christmas edging ever closer, there are so many things still left to do and I am just of getting them done. Last week I had planned on making my mince pies, Christmas pudding and some chutney but obviously this hasn’t happened. This weekend we were meant to have photographed the boys looking all cute and festive in their festive fancy dress outfits for our homemade Christmas cards, and we also plan on making some photo gifts for relatives, but of course not being at home means no access to our photo albums on the mac. And deadlines for these gifts with the on line photo gift companies are fast approaching if we want to receive them in time for Christmas.
Am I worried? Well maybe a little , I mean there is still time to get all those things done but of course we will be away this coming weekend at the Tots 100 Xmas Party at Bognor (yay! Very excited about it), so that’s another weekend we won’t be home to get these festive tasks done!!
*sighs*
I am just glad that I am not hosting Christmas this year else I might be worrying more!
How are your Christmas plans going? Are you on schedule. Or have your good intentions gone out of the window too?
* Ps. Since starting this post yesterday, I am pleased to announce that I made my Christmas Puddings (recipe post to follow) and fingers crossed the plumber and the part sorted out our boiler yesterday evening, at last after almost a month of no heating! So we could be returning home tonight or tomorrow!!
Thank you xx
Kate
You are allowed to be human which is a good job as I have nothing organised yet. Don’t even know where I will be or who with.Â
Look forward to seeing you recipes and a pic or two too to salivate over

This was me this time last year. The baby had arrived and our heating packed in. I then spent 3 weeks at my mums being pampered whilst we ended up putting a whole new fireplace in. Not sure how you must be coping with two!

Oh no, how awful about your boiler, I hope it gets sorted and doesn’t cost too much this close to Christmas! Dont worry, I’m not very organised either. I’m sure it will all come together in time 🙂

I get writer’s block occasionally too- you’ll get it back! Â And I have done no Christmas shopping yet either! x

weird isn’t it – I blogged madly for 30 days and then decided to have a break of a day or 2. Noo got ill and that extended everything. Finally, I reappeared and I don’t know what to say! what’s happened to us??

Have you signed up for another month? Wow! Think I have the opposite problem that I have too many posts. Trying not to keep ranting on but find it so addictive.
So glad your headings fixed. So hard especially when you have little ones. Sounds like you’re getting organised forchristmas. I’m not really. I don’t host christmas either so it does take the pressure off.
Can’t wait for butlins. Bit nervous too but I think well all have a fab time.
Thanks for linking up. You’re a lovely love.

Good luck with your posts for this month. I am also so pleased your heating is fixed and I hope you are home safe and warm. Hugs x
