The lovely Paula from MummyVsWork has started a new feature called Cooking With Mummy where each Friday she will link up a recipe for us to cook with our children to link back to her blog the following Thursday.
This weeks recipe was Homemade Pizza and it is a recipe provided by Utterly Scrummy and you need :
1 cup (8oz) self raising flour
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp oil
It is a very easy pizza dough recipe as all you need to do is :
Sift the flour into a bowl and add the milk and oil.
Mix well until a dough forms.
Flour your worktop/chopping board and rolling pin and roll into a circle
Top with your choice of topping (we used tomato puree, basil, grated cheese & chopped sausages)
Place on a lightly oiled baking try and cook in oven at 200oC for 10 minutes
But don’t let me tell you, let my sous chef show you!!
I have to say that this pizza dough was the nicest homemade version I have ever had!!
Unfortunately, despite having made it himself I couldn’t get Burton to eat it. He put a piece in his mouth and spat it out! Charming!! However, his daddy and I tried it and it was very nice.
Thank you xx

Next time he can send it to his future SIL’s mummy 😉

Oooh Pizza is a good choice. I love baking with the little one. Although it’s getting easier now when she listens. Before she would stick her hands in and stir the bowl at 100 miles an hour sending it flying. Stopping her eating the butter is pretty tough too!

Burton was quite good considering – he did drop the spoon and ate quite a few of the sausages before we put it on the oven!!! i guess you can do this by using a GF flour?

Yum, this sounds like a great recipe! Wee Z is funny about pizza though, he will only eat a certain kind even though it’s just a pizza!

it was just so easy to make and the base was really nice – def will make it again even if I eat it instead of my little sous chef!!

haha, he sounds so much like Jack, however hard we try to get them involved they still won’t eat the food – Jack refused his homemade goats cheese tart too!
I didn’t get around to trying this but hopefully I will ……one day!
