For this weeks Flashback Friday I am going back one year to Saturday 10th July 2010. This night was my first girls night out since I fell pregnant with Burton, and as it would turn out, my last to date as the following weekend Jenson was conceived 😉
My girls night out was with my best friends: Kimberly, Elaine and Beth who I have been friends with since school. It was just like a night out pre-children, as we started at my house with a couple of bottles of wine, some music and some nibbles (although in the old days we probably wouldn’t have bother with the nibbles just the alcohol!). We wore dresses and heels too – another thing I hadn’t done for a while!
We then walked into Barnstaple town centre and went to Jalepeno Peppers, my local Mexican Restaurant. After much merriment,
laughing, eating and drinking and setting a menu alight on the candle on the table
(that was me!) some semi drunken photos were taken!
Once we had eaten, we then headed for a few drinks and a boogie at one of the bars. A couple of drinks later and after shaking our booties on the dance floor, yet more silly photos were taken, as you do!
However, sadly, unlike our pre-children days, it got to about midnight and we all decided that instead of drinking any more alcoholic drinks, we would rather go back to mine and have a cup of tea!! Ha ha haaa! Check us out, what party goers……..NOT!
We all got back to mine and put our pj’s on, and after blowing up beds and sipping tea and chatting and maybe even dozing a little (yes, that was also me!) we had a sleepover in my lounge!
It took me back to our nights out from the past and it was great fun. Just what we all needed, and I cannot wait til our next girls night out, which we are hoping to do over Christmas! Yay 🙂
Don’t forget to see what other Flashbacks there are this Friday
Thank you xx

Ah, that’s lovely. I’m sure it won’t be long until you’re out with the girls again soon – something to look forward to

Love nights like this, shame they are so infrequent though now! My post today is very similar (but more drunken as it was pre -baby!) I really miss the ‘sleepovers I used to have with my best friends in the UK.
