For this week’s The Gallery Tara from Sticky Fingers, with a little help from Reluctant Housedad, has set us the theme of CHILLED OUT.
As soon as I saw the theme I tweeted Tara and explained that as a mum of a new-born and a toddler I never have the time to chill out, to which another mummy tweeter added that neither did she!
Its true though, the only time I can relax at the moment is when I am asleep, and that is something I am not getting very much of and when I do sleep it is very intermittent!! To be honest, even before I was a Mummy I was never very good at relaxing and taking the time to chill and have some ‘me’ time. In every job I have had I was always on the go, and would take the days problems home with me, not able to fully let go. Always mulling work related issues over in my head; never really switching off and, therefore, not able to relax. I think the only time I ever really chilled out was when I went on holiday and got away from everything and would leave my worries behind.
So I will show examples instead of my two favourite boys chilling. It amazes me how peaceful, serene and beautiful babies and children look while they sleep. I love to watch my two while they are in the land of nod.
So here is a recent photo of Burton chilling in his cot!

And here is Jenson chilled out after a long morning last Thursday, when it took 5 hours to settle him to sleep!

I only wish I was able to be as chilled out as they both appear in these photos 🙂
Don’t forget to see how other people chill out by clicking here
Thank you xx
Lol I could so have written this post myself, gorgeous photos xx
You are the ‘other tweeter’ I referred to! Xx
5 hours to settle! No wonder he’s relaxed. I bet you looked similarly chilled didn’t you?

I agree totally, about not having time to chill out. I am on the go constantly. Beautiful pictures of your boys. x
Aw gorgeous boys. I love your older one’s sleep stance!
Your boys are so cute! x
Oh hun, feel for you – I felt a bit exhausted reading your post. Hope you get more sleep soon. They are both beauties – you may be tired and not very relaxed but you can be super proud X
It’s exhausting…but just look at those beautiful little boys!!! Jenson looks totally angelic in that photo. x
Sometimes it’s not easy to relax and chill out, but it’s importnant. Hope you get more sleep soon xxx Mirka
Don’t the just look like angels!
I can sympathise with you Jenny, although now Mads is four and a half months I am getting more time to relax in the evenings but then I don’t have two the little monkeys! Still they are worth it aren’t they so I guess we can forgive them!! 😉
Ah Burton looks relaxed beyond all belief! Bless him. You must make time for yourself lovely, it is important. When they sleep, you sleep! Lovely. x
OMG – this is too cute! Jenson looks like an old man just relaxing on the sofa!
The photo of Burton is brilliant and Jenson looks exceptionally chilled. I love their names by the way. x
They’re worth it though x
Two very handsome and very chilled out (for now) little boys. Great pictures.
I love these pics. The first one cos it looks like lots of fun has been had and the second cos almost prayer-like. I like you find it hard to chill so struggled with this week’s Gallery theme
Lovely pics, I like the contrast between Burton spread in his bed with the toys and Jenson and his folded hands!
Hi Jenny! I just wanted to let you know my Ultra Repair Cream arrived today. Thank you again for hosting such a great giveaway & choosing me as one of the lucky winners… I appreciate it very much. 🙂

I love the pose Burton has. Not a care in the world.
5 hours for little Jenson before a snooze. That’s a tough call!
xx
Glad you received it ok x
Totally agree with you, never any time to chill out for us! Love the photo of Jenson with his hands crossed, very cute, I have one just like it of Wee Z.
Adorable photos.
5 hours to get Jenson to sleep 🙁 Poor you. Hope he slept for a long time after that xx
