This weeks photo was taken during my first year at university back in 1994, and it is another tale of drunkard stupidity on my part once again! For any of you who live in Northampton, you may know of the nightclub where this photo was taken – Knights.
Anyway, the night started out like any other night except I started drinking on an empty stomach – BAD mistake!! We headed for Knights because there was cheap drinks night which is a great plan for a night out – more so when you are student! At the point when this photo was taken (I am in the white top), I was still ok and, although tipsy, I was still acting relatively sensibly.
After downing lots of drinks (no idea what now) an embarrassing tale of the night’s events unfolds. At some point I just got too drunk and I ended up:
*breaking a toilet seat in the club (don’t know how!)
*lying on the couch in the above photo dribbling
*upon leaving the club I fell down some of the steps to get out of the door
*the taxi on the way home had to stop twice because I thought I was going to be sick
*when I got home I was sick on the stairs
*when we got home my housemates had to undress me and put me to bed
*I was then found an hour later, dressed only in my top and undies, roaming around downstairs by the front door looking at the build up of free newspapers which were there
And do you know what? I don’t remember any of this as I woke up in bed the next morning without any idea of what I had done! As you can imagine my housemates soon filled me in with all of the gory details!!
So remember – always eat before you drink!

Hahaha…Your Flashback made me laugh! Must admit I’ve had my fair share of drunken nights like that. Funny now when you look back on them x

ha ha!! Oh dear.
I have never really had a night out like this so I always enjoy reading Flashback Fridays which involve drunkeness and memory loss!
Mari
I know as a kid they are fun memories but they are also the ones that frighten me most, losing complete blocks of time and not remembering a thing.
Luckily it doesn’t happen these days and if on the odd occassion it does I have a right go at myself!
Great but scary post!

Sounds like some of my nights at university!  Those were the days eh!?
Sarah aka MOIxx
LOL! I used to find unidentifiable bruises – from walking into things – but have no recollection of what.

I agree with you Mari it was scary the day when I had no recollection of the night before. It happened a few times during my early 20’s but thankfully I stopped getting so drunk by my mid 20’s so it didn’t happen again!! X

Ha ha so funny and so familiar! Why oh why did we think it was ok to get to wasted? I was never very good at hearing the details the day after, cringe! then I remember thinking I could never show my face again in the nightclub or pub I was a state in, that always changed come the next weekend! 🙂 x

You are a very talented party girl you know! I read all of these party flashbacks and feel that I’ve definitely missed out on some section of my life! 😉

I’m very glad that you acknowledged that this has happened to you after University … I remember a certain hen night where you ended up asleep in a chair at the side of a packed dance floor in a night club ……. then having to take you home, undress you and trying to keep you quiet and from waking your parents the night of the wedding! Ha Ha Ha, good times had by all and funny happy memories.  Loves ya! Oh Jenny! You and I are really going to get blotto at Britmums, I’ve decided. Although, not that much because I don’t like hangovers anymore.
