Burton-In-Boots (#FlashbackFriday)

Burton, Jenson and I have been having a lot of fun this last week looking at some old photos on my iPad of when Jenson was a small baby and Burton a small toddler. They have found it very funny looking back at how small they both were and the funny faces they have each pulled over the years! Then we discovered a video – the only one I have on my iPad which I must have filmed on it when I lost my iPhone a couple of years ago. Therefore, this footage must be from August 2012 onwards, making Jenson about 18 months and Burton 3 years old.

Anyway, the video shows Burton copying the dance off routine from the animation Puss in Boots, which for a few weeks that summer was his film of choice to watch. He had done the routine a few times and of course the one time I decide to film him, as much as he did the ‘moves’, it was not as good as previous attempts because he was aware of my filming.

I love this because it is funny, obviously, and the fact that Burton is dressed in his pants and a top which was too short for him adds to the comedy factor. And then there is Jenson, dear little Jenson who is just loving being able to dance with his big brother and be all excited about doing so. Then he calls for me and shuffles over , completely ignoring Daddy calling for him to go to him instead! Back then Jenson would not go to Daddy very much he was SUCH a mummy’s boy, I mean, he still is but at least now he will sit with daddy and cuddle him!

So  here  is, Puss in Boots having a dance off with Kitty Soft Paws (you need to fast forward to about 2mins 35)

and here is Burton’s version

Funny! The boys cannot stop watching it! And I am laughing as I write this!!! Awwww this is one to show at Burton’s 18th birthday party! As is this photo taken around a bit later that same year, dressed in my their Puus-in-boots – boots!
