Project 365 #13 (23rd – 29th March)

This week started last Sunday with me arriving home from my fabulous weekend away to find a poorly chicken pox riddled Jenson who was suffering with the illness much more than his brother did, and his body covered far more in spots too. Thankfully, by Tuesday he was feeling better and even though today he is still riddled in spots, he is back to his normal self.

Feeling Sorry For Himself
Not much more to say really is there?

Embrace Happy
I didn’t take a photo of the boys today (*gasps*) but to be fair I did not do much due to Jenson feeling so unwell nor did I move from the sofa much either as a result of that! However, I did receive a lovely piece of mail in the post today from the lovely Karin which chereed me up IMG_1560 (1)

Sitting On The Fence
Due to Jenson feeling brighter today, we all went to the park after school before swimming and Burton and his friend learnt how to climb this fence!!IMG_1559

It’s A Crocodile
We spent the morning at home baking and cleaning, and we also played with the Duplo and Jenson made a crocodile!IMG_1556 (1)

Class Assembly
Burton’s class had their first assembley today and it was all about what they had learnt this term which was people and services like the police, the post office, vets, firemen and the RNLI. Burton dressed up as a member of the latter and had to recite 2 lots of lines which he had learnt at home over the last couple of weeks. It was lovely to see all his class do their bit for the performance, and sing their song at the end. Not the greatest of photos as I was sat at the back and *whispers* I am not meant to share the photo on SM so I had to cut lots of faces out!!IMG_1551 (1)

Monkey Cake
Jenson will be three on Sunday and tomorrow will be his Monkey Party with his friends so I spent this afternoon making his cake . I will make another one tomorrow morning, as we have the family coming for a birthday tea on Sunday.IMG_1558 (2)

Monkey Madness
I bought both boys a monkey fancy dress outfit for Jenson’s party today and they wore them almost all day! The party was 3.30-6pm and including the boys there were 9 children all together and I think they all had a lovely time. Here are Burton and Jenson playing pass-the-parcel. 2monkeyboys

So that was the end of another week and I can barely keep my eyes open as I write this, after a busy day of party prepping and hosting.  And it will be another busy one tomorrow with a little boy turning 3, so I am off to bed , as I have just remembered that the clocks go forward so that is an hours sleep lost  – boooo! 🙁

  1. Happy birthday to Jenson!! that cake Jenny looks amazing! i have a little man who is 3 in 10 days do you fancy making and shipping me a cake?! lol x

  2. I hope that Jenson had a lovely birthday yesterday. That monkey cake looks awesome and the piccie of them both in their monkey onesies is brilliant! x

  3. Hope Jenson had a great birthday. Not a good week for him to get chicken pox. H got the pox just days after his 4th birthday. So he was able to enjoy his birthday stuff (but was probably highly infectious when his little friends came round). Glad Jenson seems to be on the mend now.

  4. Glad the dreaded pox didn’t last too long, he really does look very sorry for himself in that first photo! Loving the monkey outfits!

  5. Oh I love their monkey costumes, and I’m so pleased that Jenson was well enough to enjoy his birthday party after that nasty bout of chickenpox. The Boy is yet to get it, and I’m very aware that the older he is, the worse it will be! Marvellous cake Jenny, you’re so talented!

Love the new blog look and thanks for linking up to Project 365.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, a virtual cup of tea and slice of cake awaits you x
