Toffee Apple Danish Pastries

Ingredients
  • 1 x kg of Danish pastry (or 1kg of bought puff pastry) I used Paul Hollywood's recipe - you can find a link to it below this box
  • 1 x jar of toffee apple curd
  • 2 eating apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°c.
  2. Line 3 baking trays with baking paper
  3. Roll out the pastry dough and cut into 18 squares.
  4. Add a tsp of the curd to the centre of each pastry square and then top with 2 apple slices
  5. From each corner, cut about halfway to the centre using a sharp knife, leaving enough space for the filling.
  6. Fold each corner into the centre
  7. Brush a little egg wash over each of the pastries.
  8. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Leave to cool and then tuck in
