Lego Burgers

- *For the burgers* (This will make approx 8 medium burgers)
- 500g mince beef
- 100g red pesto
- 1 tsp garlic granules
- 1 tsp oregano
- black pepper for seasoning
- *For the waffles* (this amount will make 4-6 waffles and you need 2 per person)
- 150g self-raising flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon runs honey
- 1 large range egg
- 1 tsp oregano
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 240 ml semi-skimmed milk
- *Finishing Touches*
- lettuce
- cheese slices
- carrot slices
- *For the burgers*
- Place all of the ingredients into a large bowl. Using clean hands, mix the meat and flavours well
- Now shape the meat into medium sized patties (or if you have a Lego man mould, use this instead)
- Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour
- When you are ready to cook your burgers, pre heat the oven to 180oC / 160oC fans
- Now place a non stick pan over a medium heat and brown the burgers carefully yon each side
- Transfer to an oven proof dish and cook for 15 minutes until cooked with through
- Meanwhile make the waffles :
- *For the waffles*
- Switch your waffle maker on, and spray the plates with a little oil
- Place all of the ingredients into a food processor or large bowl and beat well to make a thick batter
- now spoon the batter onto the waffle maker and cook for 3-5 minutes until cooked and golden
- *Assembling the Burgers*
- Take waffle and place some lettuce and cheese on to it and then top with a burger, and then another waffle
- Now place 3 carrot slices on to the top of the waffle burger
- Serve alongside some fries and enjoy
