Chocolate, Coffee and Chilli Cake

- 115g unsalted butter
- 200g light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 200g self raising flour
- 50g cocoa powder
- 1 shot (50ml) strong espresso
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp chilli powder
- 100g condensed milk
- *Icing*
- 2-3 tbsp icing sugar
- cold water - enough to make a thick paste
- cinnamon
- pre heat the oven to 180oC / 160oC (fan)
- grease and line a 1lb loaf tin
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy
- add the eggs and spices and beat well
- add 1 spoonful of flour and the espresso shot and beat again
- add the remaining flour and cocoa powder and the condensed milk and beat until well combined
- pour into the loaf tin and bake for 40-50 minutes until cooked right through and risen
- Once cooled remove from the tin
- Make the icing and spread over the top of the cake and sprinkle with some cinnamon
