Project 366, 2016. Week 16

week 16

This year is whizzing past so quickly, and I cannot believe that May is rearing its Spring like head around the corner – where is this year going?

This week has also passed us by in a flash, and with it we have experienced some lovely sunny weather which has meant some outdoor fun after school. I actually took myself on a bike ride Tuesday and then I attempted my first spin class the following morning which gave me such jelly legs! Still, no pain – or jelly legs – no gain so I will be returning next week!

Here is our week in photos:

Sunday – we took the boys to Haldon Forest for a bike ride through the woods

Monday – Burton had to write up his weekend of looking after Elbert this class dinosaur pet, along with photos. here he is reading it aloud to me in the book]

Tuesday – Jenson joined me in the night which means me pushed to the very edge of the bed in the morning!

Wednesday – gorgeous day so we went to a friends after school to play and we ended up staying to tea (oops we miss Aikido!). The children all played outdoors from 3.30-6.30pm because it was so nice and warm.

Thursday – took the boys to the library after school and there was a Lego Club so they joined in (even though we probably have as much Lego as they do at home!).

Friday – bit wet today, but still the lure of the trampoline after school was popular after school even if it did mean soggy bottoms and more silly faces!

Saturday – we went out for lunch after the boys swimming lessons, and a quick trip to the library to show Daddy their Lego creations from Lego Club, which are on display until next Thursday.

  1. Looks and sounds like a very active week for you all. I’ve been aching this weekend too after some tough yoga classes. Love that a bit of rain didn’t put the boys off the trampoline.

Love the photo of the boys upside down on the swing and their funny expressions on the trampoline. Burton looks so grown up reading about the class dinosaur. I think you’ve had better weather than us this week. It sounds like we’ve got a cold few days ahead too! Brrr!

It has been great to get out in the garden and the kids able to play out! I am pleased it is not just me that thinks that the weeks are flying by, it is really quite scary how quick they go! Hope you have a good week x #project366

  4. Hooray for sun and shorts! The swing pic makes me feel a little dizzy and I think we may be packing the shorts away again this week with the weather!

  5. Nice to spot the return of Monkey. Great to see the warm weather it has been cold here this week with snow more than once.
The soggy bottoms do not seem to be spoiling the fun.

  6. I love the piccie of the boys on the big swing.
I remember the days when my boys used to come in to join me in bed after daddy went to work. Lovely now as I have the bed to myself after he gets up!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, a virtual cup of tea and slice of cake awaits you x
