Project #15 (6th-12th March, 2014)

So this week has been week one of half term holidays and this means no school run which makes me happy because mornings are so much more relaxing arent they? Less shouting , less stress, Β more cups of tea and this makes for much better mornings πŸ™‚

The weather has been glorious this week which has meant that we have been outside everyday! This also makes me happy because everything is better when the sun shines

So here is our week in photos

On The Way Home
We collected the boys from my Mum (after their sleep over) at Tiverton Swimming Pool so they could for a swim. On the way home the boys enjoyed making us and each other laugh.

Sad To Leave
We had a playdate at a friends house today and when it was time to go, both boys were reluctant to leave!

Jenga
We had playgroup this morning and then we spent the rest of the afternoon, until Burton’s swimming lesson, playing in the garden. It was good to get out the garden toys again – like Jenga

Pond Dippers
We visited out local National Trust property today for some pond dipping, a picnic and some stick finding!! The best find was a newt by Burton.

Spring Has Spring
Another glorious day spent card making and then outside playing. We also had some friends come over to play. I loved the fact that tonight after tea it was so warm that the boys were able to play outdoors until bedtime.

Juuuuuuump!
This morning was another crafty making one and then this agfternoon was more fun in the garden! It was very warm and ice lollies were needed to cool down especially after all the jumping that the boys did off the slide!

Trampoline For One
The boys had a sleep over last night at Granma and Grampy’s so first thing I set to work making a 30th birthday cake for my hairdresser which took all morning. Meanwhile Daddy too Burton to see a rally in Somerset but he was not impressed by all accounts, Β and Jenson had the trampoline all to himself!

This week has flown by so I am hoping that next week will be slower – I do prefer not having school runs very day!

  1. So nice not to do the school runs isn’t it? Really looking forward to 2 weeks of that. Love that shot of Burton jumping through the air.

  2. I completely agree! Not having school runs and pick ups makes such a difference. I love having a slower pace and looking forward to having another week of it too! πŸ™‚

  4. I loved school holidays as well, defo less stressful and it is great to spend time with the children. Nice to see you getting out and about so much. Love Jenson on the trampoline

  5. That leaping photo is magnificent, your iPhone does capture shots like that well. I love the sulky face at having to go home, it’s funny when they do that isn’t it? Both boys are looking so grown-up it’s astounding!

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.

  6. Loving the jummmp photo – brilliant – such an action shot. I totally agree about the not getting up early making for calmer mornings. Unfortunately I still have to work so we still get some school like mornings – but at least it’s not everyday and hasn’t the sunshine made a difference. Everything seems so much better with the sun out.

  7. That is one massive Jenga – mine pull the same faces when its time to go home! Love the leap…….maybe a future olympian?

  8. I agree, holiday mornings are so much better than school mornings, chance to drink tea while it’s still warm is always a bonus! I love the jump photo, such a great action shot! The giant jenga looks fun too.

  9. Love the warmer evenings and the fact that the kids can play outside after tea. Only downside with lighter evenings is persuading them its time for bed!

  10. What brilliant photos Jenny, sounds like you had a really great week. I love the jumping photos but giant Jenga is brilliant too. Hope this week has been just as good πŸ™‚

  11. It is always great to have a break from the mundane routine isn’t it. It looks like you had a lot of fun outside enjoying the lovely weather.
