Mmm… Jen’s cake she made for my wedding was delicious and perfect for a summer wedding. It was so pretty and looked amazing. As a special treat a one layer cake for birthdays etc would work just as well. It was so much nicer to have a ‘homemade’ cake than one from a shop and made a fabulous present! X Rita

  3. Wow, you were ambitious indeed! What a cake and what a tremendous effort. Plus, you’ve cleverly managed to get around fussing with a perfect layer of frosting on the outside! This would make a beautiful centerpiece of any wedding table…

  4. Oh wow, INCREDIBLE! Can’t believe you made this yourself. Well I can because you are so skilled! Think you need to apply to actual Bake Off 2014! Thanks for linking up to #tastytuesdays

    • thank you so much. i am not that good, i was just careful to choose a cake which i know will be forgiving as i can cover up my dodgy frosting with pretty chocolate cigarellos. xx

  5. Wow, that looks really good. You should be very proud. If I’d had that as a wedding cake I’d be chuffed to bits. Also, tell Rita that I love her dress and she looks beautiful.

  7. This looks amazing. I wasn’t really impressed by the wedding cakes made by the finalists. I thought they were all rather ugly. I had been rooting for Francis from the start though – her designs are just incredible! I think your wedding cake is better than all the finalists!

I had really wanted to join in this last linky, but unfortunately, I’ve not been home much and just haven’t had time to bake anything. I hope you will do this linky again next year?!

  8. Oh my goodness you clever, clever lady!!! Thanks so much for linking up with #recipeoftheweek! I’ve pinned this recipe and there’s a fresh linky live now, if you’d like to join in 🙂
