  1. Bless Burton is looking so grown up. I bet he’ll be brilliant at school next week.

The first photo is my favourite with mud all up their backs, I was just the same as a boy

  2. First school shoes Aaahhh so grown up!!! Love the Garden gate one but all are lovely. You’ve reminded me we haven’t used our legoland Tickets yet either…we were going over summer but chickenpox stopped that. Best find out when husbands coming home xx

  3. The gate photo is lovely, really lovely and it sounds like another really busy week for you. I hope Burtin settles into school okay this week and that you don’t get too upset when he goes

  4. Well done to Jenson on having his hair cut. z screamed the whole place down!! πŸ™‚ I hope you and Burton have a really good week next week with school. Will be thinking of you tomorrow xx

  5. love the muddy gate picture, that is what my children always looked like, but better muddy than bored and fighting.
gosh there seem to be a few off to school this summer, gone from toddler to big boys so quick. lol at Burtons face in the trolley, unimpressed definaetly

  6. School shoes – I need to do that next week. Have been very relaxed about it this year and H is still in last years. I find that H’s behaviour can deteriorate in the summer holidays, but he gets back on track at school. I think the rules and the structure help with that. Maybe it will have a similar effect on Burton. Love the bike shot.

  7. The photo through the castle window is excellent. I hope Burton has a great time at school and I hope it doesn’t take too long for you to get used to the changes πŸ™‚ xx

  8. Haha, full of the ‘fours’ – they never told us about them did they, and there was me being all pleased when the ‘terrible twos’ passed πŸ™‚

  9. I do love your ‘toy playing’ shots- you capture moments so perfectly.
Love them in front of the gate… such a way to sadly shut the gate on our lovely summer, and move into what will hopefully be a beautiful autumn.
I hope this week goes well for you all, and that Burton settles quickly into his new routine and enjoys his new adventure. xx

  10. I love Jenson’s face in the Trolly Dolly picture..he looks most put out having his brother sat by him.
I used to be a Clarks childrens shoe fitter (many moons ago!!) I loved fitting the kiddies with their first school shoes.

  11. Lovely garden gate picture!!

Aww bless I remember getting my daughters first school shoes! Was so emotional! Hope he does ok at school. x

  12. Love the bottom photo of Burton with the clouds, and the photo of them in the trolley. Looking forward to seeing how your photos have changed this week.

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.

  13. […] 06/09/13 – I love this shot of the two boys. It was taken at the end of a warm day following some rain and the boys had been enjoying splashing in the puddles; Burton on his bike (note the mud stains on his clothes) and Jenson bare footed! It marked the end of a wonderful Summer and the start of a new season and a new chapter in our lives as Burton started school a week later. I just love the carefree abandonment of my boys in this photo and it sums them up well. […]
